Itsy Bitsy Vintage: What sets us apart? (Lancashire Vintage Wedding and Party Stylists)

I've noticed a burgeoning market locally in all things vintage in the last six months or so, and interest in vintage looks sets to continue well into 2012 and for several years at least. Most especially in the wedding market, the trend has now reached North Lancashire and the South Lakes, and many of my husbands' wedding photography shoots from 2011 featured smatterings of vintage, be it the dress, the bouquet or the venue details. Weekends are marked out in advance as one vintage fair after another comes to town and it's hard not to feel giddy with all this loveliness and fun on our doorstep. Vintage businesses too are continuing to grow, which begs the question, what sets Itsy Bitsy Vintage apart as Lancashire vintage wedding and party stylists? Why should you think about using our services over and above that of others?

Primarily I would say that between us Carole and I have over 25 years experience in the creative field. Carole as a textile artist sourcing and being inspired by the history and legacy of Lancashires' textile industry, and myself as an arts administrator, curating craft exhibitions and managing artist networks. We live and breathe creativity, indeed we couldn't function without being surrounded by beautiful things and creating art and handmade items ourselves. As all artists know, it's just in the blood! We bring that creative eye to all that we do in terms of  Itsy Bitsy Vintage and try and add a unique edge to our services. It also makes it possible to build a look beyond being just pretty or twee, customise styling and accessories for different periods, and to confidently make suggestions for room decor and to make something new if we don't already offer it.

We both adore Vintage. Before vintage made a resurgence in the last five years, I was running a vintage market stall in Camden back in the late eighties and I worked for some years in the London antiquarian trade. We each surround ourselves at home with an eclectic mix of items both inherited and carefully chosen, which reflect this passion and interest. We were collecting and up-cycling long before someone wrote a blog or a magazine article telling us vintage was 'hip' this season. It's just who we are!

We have a dedication to customer service. In my other business as an Holistic Therapist, I am completely focused on my customer needs which has allowed me to build and successfully grow my practice. As an artist, Carole is also highly experienced in working with clients to produce commissions and create works of art that people will love for generations. Carole and I both love this aspect of our new business together. It's you, the customer, who makes it all worth while. You are the focus of our attention and we guarantee that we can provide a fun and professional service and to make your dreams a reality. This extends to creating galleries of inspirational images, from different styles and periods, and links to wedding blogs which may be of use to you in developing your own look.

Lastly but by no means least, we are networked professionally and socially with some of the best and most creative people in the wedding industry locally. We love living and working in Lancaster and Morecambe for the sheer abundance of creativity and talent that abounds. We may well have experience of working with your chosen venue, florist, photographer, caterer, or can highly recommend suppliers to you if you are at the start of your wedding planning.

You can trust Itsy Bitsy Vintage to help add some fun, charm and charisma into any of your celebrations, and to share with you in the excitement of your special day. What better job could we possibly have?
